Who We Are
As President of the KPOBA, and on behalf of our entire membership, we would like to thank you for your ongoing support of our cause. Our mission is being “Committed to Your Safety”. In this fast-paced, technologically advanced age, we are striving to create an atmosphere of transparency and communication, which will help to render a more robust relationship by and between our entire community. The main objective of the KPOBA:
1. The improvement of the wages, hours, and working conditions of the members of the Kennewick Police Department;
2. To act as the sole and exclusive representative of the Association’s membership in collective bargaining with the City of Kennewick over wages, hours of work and working conditions;
3. To improve the safety, standard of living, and images as professionals of the members of the Association; and
4. To promote charitable causes within the law enforcement profession and the local community. By engaging in community outreach programs, and supporting all those who supports us, we feel we can make a positive difference in the lives of people in this community.
The KPOBA was founded and 1984 and consists of 81 sworn officers, whom have taken an oath to maintain law and order for our citizens, and represent the finest element of our community. Every day we are working diligently to build a safe and prosperous community for everyone.
